The physical water leak-detection operations we conducted in several central neighborhoods of Beyoğlu, an area within the responsibility of ISKI General Directorate, which is rich in history and culture, have been successfully completed. During this process, we remotely detected the precise locations of leaks through our remote monitoring systems without physically being in the field. As a result, a total of 7 fault points, including the network connection of the historical Galata Tower, were identified, and these faults were successfully repaired.
In collaboration with ISKI Beyoğlu Branch, this work utilized 2 Alpha components (Main Data Collectors), 32 Repeaters (Signal Repeaters), and 36 Loggers (Noise Recording Correlators) from Zonescan in a designated demonstration area, successfully implementing the system over a pipeline of approximately 10 km. The first leak point identified through the system was detected by our team using a Gutermann Aquascope 550 model acoustic listening microphone. This leak, which was observed as a puncture in the subscriber connection part of Galata Tower, was quickly repaired by ISKI teams.
We extend our thanks to the team members who showed exceptional effort during this process and the ISKI General Directorate teams who provided continuous support.
