As the opening day of Ankara City Hospital, Europe's largest city hospital, approached, water leaks appearing in the fire hydrant lines were swiftly detected and resolved by Aykome's expert staff and state-of-the-art devices.
Located on a campus covering 1,312,349 m2, the Bilkent City Hospital had a total of 4,000 meters of fire hydrant lines. Upon noticing water losses in the lines, the authorities sought assistance from Aykome, the experts in the field. Aykome's specialists conducted on-site and network explorations, determining that the Gutermann Zonescan 820 Point Leak Detection System would be the most suitable method to solve the water leak.
The devices were placed on the fire hydrants, valves, gate valves, and pipes within the network. After a three-day operation, leak locations were identified and malfunctions were pinpointed through analysis conducted by the system. This successfully brought the water losses under control and resolved the water leak issue before the hospital's opening.
At Aykome, we are delighted to contribute to this project, which is a source of pride for Türkiye.
