NIVELCO’s NIVOSONAR GPA open channel meter provides flow measurements of liquids in open channels and sewers. The flow measurement system includes an EasyTREK or EchoTREK ultrasonic level transmeter and a Parshall channel attenuator.

Depending on the flow rate, channels in 9 different sizes – measuring range – are offered to users. The selected flowmeter formula Parshall flume is included in the software of each ultrasonic transmitter made by NIVELCO. The total channel measurement range is between 1 m3/h – 6627 m3/h.
EasyTREK or EchoTREK ultrasonic level transmitter (on selection) and MultiCONT process
The monitoring system is optionally available, which are requirements to build a complete measuring system.

In the Parshall channel applied as a reducing element, the stagnation pressure causes the liquid level to rise. An EasyTREK or an EchoTREK ultrasonic level transmitter measures changes in liquid level and transmits the measured data to the MultiCONT via HART® communication.
Includes multi-channel process controller or PC using UNICOMM HART®-USB/RS485 modem. Ultrasonic transmitters are programmed; While the measured data can be collected, transmitted and displayed remotely (4 – 20 mA, RS485), there are also multiple relay outputs.
