The new NIVELCO PiloTREK W–200 non-contact 80 GHz radar level sensor uses 80 GHz FMCW radar, the most advanced industrial measurement technology. The main advantages of 80 GHz radars over low frequencies (5…12 GHz and 25 GHz) are smaller antenna size, better focusability and narrow beam angle.
It uses the latest technology to measure the levels of liquids (fluids), masses, emulsions and other commonly used chemicals.


What are the application areas of non-contact radar level sensors? The water industry, the food industry, the energy industry, the pharmaceutical industry, the chemical industry, and Tank and Silo Monitoring provide measurement results with millimeter accuracy. It is also perfect for measuring substances and liquids prone to vapor formation.


In addition to the level, volume and weight measurement functions, this product family also inherits open channel flow measurement functions and threshold functions to eliminate false and parasitic echoes.


Since no medium is required for the propagation of millimeter waves, it can also be used in a vacuum.
