NIVOCONT R – Vibrating Rod Level Switch

NIVELCO NIVOCONT R series vibrating rod level switches, also known as vibrating level switches (rod type), are robust devices designed for low and high level granule and powder display with a minimum density of 0.05 kg / dm3 (50 oz / ft3).

When installed in tanks, silos or hopper boxes, it can control filling / emptying or provide safe alarm signals. It is recommended to use a highly polished version in abrasive environments.

What is the working principle?
It is based on the electronic circuit stimulating the vibration in the rod probe. When the media reaches the bars and turns it off, the vibration stops, when the media leaves the bar, it vibrates freely. The electronics detects the vibration change and outputs the signal after a selected delay.

The probe must be protected against strong material ingress by choosing the appropriate mounting position or by using an overhead guard. When the instrument is mounted near the tank, the cone or arcing of the material must be taken into account. In dusty environments, the inclination of the side-mounted probe should be greater than the bearing to ensure self-cleaning and to prevent material build-up on the vibration bar switches. Avoid installing the unit close to the fill inlet or the middle accumulation. With the most preferred model of the product, NIVOCONT R – RKH-502-1, you can produce easy solutions for your process.
