A comprehensive SCADA-based level measurement and automation solution was implemented by Aykome Engineering at CeyPort Port to manage chemical storage processes with greater safety, traceability, and centralized control. Within the scope of the project, non-contact level measurement and multi-point temperature monitoring infrastructure was commissioned for 20 chemical silos on site.

Reliable Measurement for Critical Chemicals
All measurement points were configured specifically for the site, taking into account silo heights ranging from 14 to 30 meters and demanding chemical conditions involving materials such as caustic and sulfuric acid. The selected sensor and monitoring infrastructure was designed to support both process safety and measurement continuity in storage operations.
Central Monitoring and Alarm Structure
Silo levels, temperature values, and critical alarm states were made centrally traceable through the SCADA screens. Enabling operators to monitor tank conditions from a single point helps potential risks to be identified earlier and supports more controlled intervention processes.
Process Safety and Operational Control
The commissioned solution improved traceability across CeyPort’s chemical storage operations, reduced the need for manual checks, and strengthened a safety-oriented operating approach. The flexible architecture established for the site provides a scalable foundation for integrating additional tanks or process points in the future.
