A comprehensive SCADA system has been installed at Koray Kimya's storage facility in Lüleburgaz in line with its forward-looking digitalization goals. The main purpose of this system is to monitor chemical tanks in real-time, simplify operator interventions, and increase safety. Three PTFE-coated radar level sensors from the NIVELCO brand, distributed by Aykome Engineering, were used in the project. These sensors enable non-contact, high-precision level measurement, particularly in peroxide and acetic acid tanks.

An automation panel was also built from scratch within the facility, and a Siemens S7-1200 PLC was integrated into the panel. Specially developed in line with the customer's operational needs The scenarios were transferred to the PLC program. In addition to the tank level, the instantaneous weights in kilograms of the chemical products in the tank were also displayed on the system upon customer request. All mathematical transformations and software integrations required for this calculation were performed within the SCADA system, and the data flow was synchronized with the PLC.
The system was performed within the SCADA system, and the data flow was synchronized with the PLC. Because product density values vary over time, a dedicated field was designed for manual entry into the SCADA system, allowing users to enter density information separately for each product. This allows the system to calculate accurate weight data for chemicals with varying densities. Thanks to this implemented infrastructure, Koray Kimya has not only increased its operational efficiency but also digitalized its facility in terms of traceability and security. The developed system, with its user-friendly structure and flexible architecture, is designed to accommodate future expansions.
